Sunny Day Science and a Bit of Tennis

Date: 20th Apr 2018 @ 9:00pm

Class 1 made the most of the sunny day by taking our science lesson outside. This term we are looking at plants and we could not have asked for a better day to get outside and look closely at flowers. We're also very lucky to have some wonderful flowers in our playground.

Everyone in the class drew a diagram of a flower and Years 1 and 2 labeled the different parts. Some of the children in Reception also added labels to their diagrams, showing how well they are doing with their writing.

At breaktime we've enjoyed playing tennis - Mrs Hadfield included. None of us are quite sure of the actual rules but, as ever, Class 1 were resourceful enough to invent their own.  Sadly, it's unlikely that the Lawn Tennis Association will adopt the Bosley rules. Seven players on each team chasing a ball around the playground might not cut it at Wimbledon...!
